Unleash 4.11: More simple and user-friendly feature toggling

Since the release of 4.10, the development team has been working hard on new features and enhancements for the 4.11 release. The most recent version of our open-source software offers simpler and more user-friendly feature management. That makes it easier for developers to navigate through their projects and keep them organized.

Easy way to browse feature flags

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s more important than ever to be able to find what you need quickly and easily.
Feature flags are an essential part of any software development process, but managing a long list of features can be difficult and time-consuming. With the 4.11 release, we’ve made some enhancements to the feature flag list.

We have reorganized the feature flag page layout by integrating the search into the title area. This keeps it consistent across all pages. The search results are also highlighted for a better experience. Further, the new version of Admin UI comes with an intuitive sorting option in the table: Change the order of the feature flag list by sorting by last seen, flag type, flag name, date of creation, project ID, or status.

We believe that these changes will make the process of feature flagging much simpler and save time (and money!) when enabling or disabling flags for different users.

Archived flags in the project

Do you find yourself constantly searching through the list of all archived flags across your Unleash instance for a specific flag that you archived?

We’ve made it easier to see a project’s archived flags. You can now use a project’s “Archive” tag to get an immediate overview of all archived flags in that project.

This enables you to keep track of all flags that have been created and archived in a specific project.

The project archived features include the following information:

  • The name of the feature flags
  • Short description of the feature
  • Flag type
  • Archive date
  • Restore button

The list of archived flags can of course be sorted in a number of ways to make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for.

Users list

The larger an organization or team is, the harder it becomes for the administrators to keep track of and manage user accounts. The enhanced list of users makes it easier to keep track of account activity. You can now see and sort by when an account is last logged in, making it a breeze to find inactive accounts.

This makes it easy to manage your team’s user accounts in Unleash and keep them up-to-date.

We hope you take advantage of the new feature flag list and users list to improve your workflow. As always, we welcome your feedback. If you haven’t already, update Unleash to the 4.11 version.
