About Unleash
Unleash is a feature management platform helping development teams experiment faster with new features, with less risk and more efficiency. Our mantra is “create with freedom, release with confidence”.
Feature management has emerged as a core component of Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and Experimentation Platforms, allowing developers to test new features incrementally, roll back with precision, and run experiments that drive real product decisions. Unleash is the largest open source solution for feature management on GitHub, and serves some of the world’s most security-conscious enterprises. From financial institutions and fintechs to large retailers and government bodies.
Unleash has solid funding from investors across the US, UK, and Norway, and is growing.
We’re a remote-first company across 10 countries, with a Nordic culture based on trust, transparency, and autonomy.
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Developer Advocate to join our small but growing DevRel team. You’ll work closely with the Head of DevRel and own a significant portion of our technical content strategy and community execution, from blog posts and tutorials to live demos, workshops, and conference talks.
This is a high-autonomy role. You won’t be handed a backlog to execute. You’ll help shape what gets built and why, co-owning parts of the DevRel strategy. We’re a small team and we move fast, so the ability to self-direct, prioritize ruthlessly, and deliver with speed and precision matters a lot.
Our primary audience is the technical practitioner: developers, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, and software architects working in and around enterprise software. You’ll need to be able to speak their language with credibility. That means being hands-on, technically sharp, and genuinely curious about the problems they face.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute technical content across formats: written tutorials, blog posts, code examples, video walkthroughs, and live demos
- Speak at developer conferences, meetups, and community events
- Design and run developer workshops (in-person and virtual)
- Contribute to the Unleash OSS ecosystem: code samples, integrations, documentation improvements, and SDK examples
- Engage with the developer community across channels and represent Unleash with authenticity
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Go-to-Market teams to identify technical content gaps and opportunities
- Stay sharp on the AI/LLM tooling landscape and help translate Unleash’s value into that context for developers building AI-powered applications
About you
- You have 5+ years of hands-on experience, spanning real software engineering and Developer Relations (you’ve done both, not just talked about both)
- You’ve shipped production code and can build working demos, integrations, and code samples from scratch
- You have genuine experience in Developer Relations: you’ve spoken at conferences, produced technical content, and know what it takes to build credibility in a developer community
- You’re comfortable with CI/CD, cloud-native technologies, and modern DevOps/platform engineering practices
- You have hands-on experience building with AI/LLM tools and can speak fluently about integrating AI into real applications
- You can speak credibly to a technical enterprise audience of developers, architects, and platform teams in large organizations, without losing the startup instinct for speed and pragmatism
- You thrive with autonomy. You don’t need a lot of hand-holding, and you default to action over process
- A growing LinkedIn or YouTube presence is a strong plus. We’re not looking for influencer-scale followings, but an established voice in the developer community signals the right mindset
- Familiarity with OpenFeature or the feature management space is a bonus, not a requirement
